Clinical TrP Massage

Massage with a Purpose fixing pain that offers lasting relief...

Clinical TrP massage works specifically with myofascial trigger points. Using the knowledge of functional anatomy, palpating and thus detecting trigger points are one of the most reliable and effective ways for deactivating trigger points. Clinical TrP Massage addresses pain and injury complaints by making a detailed assessment of musculoskeletal conditions and treatment protocols based on client’s information. Clinical Trigger Point Massage uses gentle sustained pressure to the myofascial tissue to stretch and elongate the fascia and muscle. The massage therapist finds the area of restriction, or the myofascial trigger point, and then applies pressure. As the trigger points are released, the size and sensitivity of the area of tension decreases as treatment progresses. When the tissue releases the therapist will move on to the next area to be released. Clinical Trigger Point Massage has several positive effects including decreased muscle tension and tightness, decreased pain, improved circulation and especially increased mobility.
